Hello, my name is Kimberly Templin, and I am a wife, mother of two incredible young men, and the proud owner of an ever-growing family of amazing fur-babies. My journey has been one of transformation, and through it all, God’s grace has played a pivotal role in saving my life. I’ve recovered from a past of struggling with drinking, and it’s been my dogs, along with my faith that have helped me heal and grow stronger. My family and the dogs love and companionship have been with me through the darkest days, reminding me of the power of loyalty, unconditional love, and second chances. This is why I believe so deeply in the importance of therapy dogs. They have the incredible ability to heal hearts, just as they have helped heal mine. It’s amazing how God will use people and animals to show His love.
I’ve owned many different breeds throughout my life, but it was the Boykin Spaniel and the English Springer Spaniel that truly captured my heart. Making the decision to go into breeding wasn’t something I took lightly. It’s a huge responsibility, and I’m fully committed to my dogs. They will always come first. Breeding isn’t just about bringing new puppies into the world; it’s about raising healthy, socialized, well-tempered dogs that will continue to impact the world in a positive way.
My journey with these two breeds began in 2020 when my husband, Scott, found Beaux (our male Boykin). I had asked for a smaller dog, as we had always had Golden Retrievers, and I was looking for something different. Beaux was the perfect fit, smart, loving, loyal, and easy to train. A year later, I knew we needed another Boykin, and that’s when Kenzi came into our lives. Kenzi is not just a beautiful dog; she’s my Emotional Support Service Dog, and she’s been by my side through thick and thin. With the training and documentation required, Kenzi has been a constant source of emotional support, helping me stay grounded on my recovery journey.
For our 20th wedding anniversary, I wanted to surprise Scott with an English Springer Spaniel. Lincoln, born on President’s Day, completed our family of dogs. Each of them has brought something unique into our lives. Each with a distinct personality but all sharing the traits of love, loyalty, and intelligence that make them such an important part of our healing and growth.
Scott and I had talked about breeding for a while, and after speaking with our vet, I started researching the process. But it wasn’t until I met an experienced breeder that I truly understood the full scope of what breeding responsibly requires. The knowledge I gained went far beyond what I had anticipated, and it’s a commitment I take seriously. While the process can be challenging, I’m dedicated to always putting my dogs’ well-being first, and to raising well-bred, health-tested, intelligent, and incredible tempered English Springer and Boykin Spaniels. Breeding isn’t just about producing puppies, it’s about making sure they’re given the best start in life, and I am fully committed to bettering the breed in every way I can.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us, and for trusting me to share our passion for these wonderful dogs. They’ve not only been a part of my life they’ve been a huge part of my recovery, and I hope they can bring as much love and joy into your life as they’ve brought into mine.
